Chicago native and Landmark Forum graduate Blake Rockwell created a unique organization through his project. Special Spectators partners with college athletic departments to create special days for seriously ill children. They receive free front row tickets to major sporting events, ‘backstage’ invitations where they get to meet the atheletes, and an introduction to the crowd at the game. Special Spectators also arranges visits by atheletes to children’s hospitals and pediatric units. Special Spectators has been featured on ESPN. See more below.
